Confessions of a goth: Ok, so I am goth! And I am a Christian! I'm a Christian goth! I'm finally admitting it! Yes, it's kinda strange. But I have been goth since I was a little kid. I was always goth, I just didn't dress goth until around middle school age. That was in the mid-eighties. I was goth before there was such a thing! Before it had the name "goth" anyway. Well, it's who I am and I am still goth as an adult. Do you ever really "get past it"? Maybe if you're a poseur. But if it's genuine, it's who you are, not how you dress or wear your hair or make-up. In high school, I became a hippie. But I was really a goth hippie. After I graduated, I went back to "looking goth". Now I feel comfortable in both worlds, with both of my images. More recently, I thought, I would really like to express my goth self outwardly again. Maybe I'm having a mid-life crisis; I don't know. But I miss the music, the look, the attitude. So...I will soon be posting some pictures of "the goth me", very different than the ones I've been using on this site. I'm a little bit boho, a lot hippie, and always goth.
