The Holy Bible, consisting of
the Old and New Testaments, is the only infallible Word of God and is
theologically inerrant in its message and is complete. All other prophecies,
doctrines, spiritual teachings, and claimed words from God are false.
God is one God, the God of the
Holy Bible, in three Persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy
Spirit. The Lord God is omniscient, omnipotent, and
omnipresent. He always was and always will be and never
changes. He is perfect in love and truth.
All
human beings are born sinful and are fully responsible for their
sinfulness, which leads to eternal death and separation from God, and
to the eternal judgment, punishment, and destruction they justly
deserve.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Messiah spoken of by God's prophets,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born on Earth of a virgin,
lived a sinless life, performed many miracles, was crucified as a
sacrificial atonement for humankind's sin, was resurrected bodily on
the third day, and ascended to Heaven to sit at the right hand of the
Father. He will return to Earth in glory in the same way He
ascended to Heaven, to judge the world and establish His kingdom on
Earth.
Salvation is a free gift from
God through His grace, which can only be received by faith, through a
personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, through
whom all sin (past, present, and future) is
forgiven. It cannot be earned.
To belong to God through Christ, a person must be born again - repenting
of and rejecting the sinful human nature (of the original, natural
birth), accepting Jesus Christ's sacrifice and victory, and committing
to a new holy life for God, obeying His commandments to love Him and
love all people, therefore becoming a new creation spiritually by the
power of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit dwells in every person who accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and
Savior. He convicts them of sin, draws sinners to a saving
knowledge of Jesus Christ, guides the saved, and works to change the
heart and mind to maturity and holiness.
Holy
Communion (the Lord's Supper) and water baptism by any method are
outward signs of faith and obedience and are tangible seals of
salvation.
There is eternal conscious damnation for the unsaved, and eternal conscious
life in Heaven with God for the saved. Ultimately, the
unsaved will be judged by their works and sentenced to eternal
conscious punishment and destruction. The saved will be
judged by their works and will be given rewards (or lose out on
rewards), but nevertheless will have eternal life with God.
Jesus will return to Earth once
again at the end of the Tribulation the same way He departed.
Then there will be a bodily resurrection of the deceased, for
both those who are alive in Christ and those who are damned by their
disbelief. All believers will be given glorified bodies, the
dead resurrected first, and will reign on Earth with Jesus.
All unbelievers will be resurrected and judged and condemned to Hell.
The Church is the body of
believers. Church is where two or more believers are gathered
in Jesus' name. All believers are saints. All
believers are priests. Jesus is the only High Priest and
Mediator between humankind and God. Individual believers have
different abilities and gifts given by the Holy Spirit to contribute to
the Church.
The purpose for believers on Earth is to serve God according to His Will -
preaching the Gospel, evangelizing the unsaved, preparing for Christ's
return, and developing maturity in their relationship with the Lord
through studying His Word, prayer, fellowship with other believers, and
living in holiness and love according to the Holy Bible.
